Program description: When CMS moved Trauma Informed Care from 483.20 (Resident Assessment) into 483.25 (Quality of Care) and issued a new F-Tag (F699) in the final year of the RoP changes it signified a radical evolution in the expectations of CMS for the culture and care provided in Medicare and Medicaid services. Using a fast paced, exercise and example style, Cassandra first explains the expanded universe now covered by 483.25 and then discusses tools and methods to help facilities meet and document the continuous improvement requirement. Nursing, Activities, Physical Plant, Social Services, Dietary, Business and Administration practices are all affected by the new scope for this section. Approaches for all are explained, demonstrated and discussed.
